§ 54.03 CONNECTIONS.
   (A)   All extensions of water service connections outside the city limits and outside the one and one- half mile jurisdiction of the city’s subdivision control ordinance shall comply with the specifications and requirements of Ch. 153 of this code of ordinances.
   (B)   (1)   Any person, firm, company or corporation connecting to the water system shall, at his or her own expense, but under the supervision of the Code Enforcement Officer, install a service connection from the curb stop to the building. A shut-off valve shall be provided in the building at the building entrance and before the meter. Such connections and shut-off valve shall be of materials acceptable to the city.
      (2)   The property owner shall be responsible for the maintenance and proper operation of the water connection from the curb stop to the house excluding the water meter.
   (C)   (1)   The city shall at the expense of the property owner furnish and install or supervise the installation of suitable curb stop, box, water meter, meter vault and such other necessary pipe and fittings.
      (2)   The city shall be responsible for the proper operation and maintenance of the connection and piping from the main to and including the curb stop and the meter.
