§ 34.117 HOLIDAYS.
   (A)   The following holidays are recognized by the city:
      (1)   New Year’s Day, January 1;
      (2)   President’s Day, third Monday in February;
      (3)   Good Friday, Friday before Easter;
      (4)   Memorial Day, last Monday in May;
      (5)   Independence Day, July 4;
      (6)   Labor Day, first Monday in September;
      (7)   Veteran’s Day, November 11;
      (8)   Thanksgiving Day, fourth Thursday in November;
      (9)   Day after Thanksgiving;
      (10)   Christmas Eve day, December 24;
      (11)   Christmas Day, December 25; and
      (12)   Two personal holidays unless collective bargaining contract differs and prevails by union contracts.
   (B)   Any holiday falling on Saturday will be observed on the preceding Friday. Any holiday falling on Sunday will be observed on the following Monday.
   (C)   Non-exempt regular full-time employees will be paid for the holiday plus one and one-half times their regular rate of pay for any time worked on the holiday. Such time must be pre-authorized by the supervisor.
   (D)   Special assignment employees will be paid at their regular straight-time rate for hours worked on a holiday.
