§ 34.111 VACATION.
   (A)   Each regular full-time employee is entitled to vacation leave as follows:

   (B)   All new employees must satisfactorily complete their introductory period to be entitled to the use of vacation leave. Regular part-time employees and special assignment employees are not eligible for any vacation benefits.
   (C)   Each department is responsible for scheduling its employees’ vacations without undue disruption of department operations. Leave requests shall be submitted at least two weeks prior to taking vacation leave.
   (D)   The maximum number of vacation hours which may be carried over from December 31 of one year to January 1 of the next year is 120 hours. If you fail to use any additional vacation time, any balance of unused annual leave hours will lapse and will be lost on January 1 of the following calendar year. In cases where city operations have made it impractical for an employee to use vacation time, the department head with the approval of the City Manager may authorize accrual beyond 120 hours. Employees will be paid for unused vacation time upon termination of employment.
   (E)   Public works bargaining unit employees, department heads and non-union personnel shall receive two additional vacation days annually upon ten years of consecutive employment. Police bargaining unit employees shall receive two additional vacation days annually upon 15 years of consecutive employment.
