The requirements of this article shall become effective six (6) months from the date of its passage.
(a) A permit is not required for the following types of signs. Such signs shall not be considered when determining the allowable number or size of signs on any premise; provided, however, that they must comply with all other applicable sections of this chapter.
(b) No sign in this section shall be placed on utility poles, retaining walls, landscape features (i.e. tree or rock), other sign structures or any fence.
