§ 8-171 PENALTIES.
   The Assistant County Administrator for Public Works shall be the enforcement officer(s) for the provisions of this section.
   (a)   It shall be unlawful for any person to violate any provision of this article, and any such violation shall be punished as prescribed below. Each day a violation continues constitutes a separate offense.
   (b)   In addition to any other penalties provided in this article, the Assistant County Administrator for Public Works may assess a civil penalty not to exceed $500 against any person violating any provision of this article. In setting the amount of the civil penalty, the Assistant County Administrator for Public Works shall consider the type, duration, and severity of the violation and the penalty. If full payment of the penalty is not made within 30 days after such demand is mailed or delivered to the person, the County Attorney may commence a civil action in the appropriate court to recover the penalty.
   (c)   In addition to any other penalties or remedies provided in this article, the County Attorney may institute a civil action in the appropriate court to obtain compliance with the provisions of this section or remedy or prevent the violation or threatened violation of any provision article.
