§ 2-33 SALARY ADJUSTMENT.
   Beginning January, 1995 and recurring every 24 months thereafter, the salaries of Greenville County Council members shall be adjusted by the same merit increase approved by County Council in its annual budget for the county’s elected officials for the preceding 24-month period with the exception of the probate judge whose salary adjustments are recommended by the S.C. Court Administration. For example, if the county’s elected officials are given a merit increase in the budget of 2% for 1995 and 3% for 1996, the salary adjustment for County Council members will be 5% beginning January 1, 1997. Any cost of living adjustments for the county’s elected officials approved in the annual budget shall also apply to County Council members at the same rate and effective date as approved for said officials.
