§ 6-1 SEPARATION OF OFFICE OF EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS FROM EMERGENCY MEDICAL AUTHORITY/ SERVICE.
   By Ordinance No. 1088, adopted February 15, 1983, the preexisting civil defense board for the county was merged with the emergency management authority which was formerly known as the emergency medical services commission. By Ordinance No. 1326, the office of emergency preparedness is separated from the emergency management authority, hereinafter to be known as the emergency medical services department (EMS), but the preexisting civil defense board is not thereby revived and Act 605 of the 1967 Acts and Joint Resolutions of the General Assembly of South Carolina is hereby repealed.
