244.03   PROBATIONARY PERIOD.
   Any person appointed as a Police Chief, a Police Lieutenant or a Fire Chief shall serve for a probationary period of six months and such appointment shall not be deemed final until the appointee has satisfactorily served such period. The appointing authority and the Civil Service Commission shall pursue the methods prescribed in Ohio R.C. 124.27 and 124.49 with respect to whether the appointee has or has not satisfactorily served the probationary period, and the appointee shall be afforded the rights and remedies granted by such sections of the Ohio Revised Code.
