Sidewalks shall be provided within the dedicated rights-of-way in all major subdivisions and in all minor subdivisions which are adjacent to existing sidewalks. Sidewalks shall be constructed along both sides of all local, collector and arterial streets. A grassed or landscaped median strip at least four feet wide shall separate all sidewalks from adjacent curbs. Wherever a proposed subdivision is developed adjacent to or between existing sidewalks, the developer shall extend the new sidewalks to the property line to connect with the existing sidewalks.
