(A) Chain link fencing. Chain link fencing shall be provided around the lift station and valve pit. The fence height shall be six feet and include three strands of barbed wire. The fence shall include a continuous top rail, bottom tension wire and post-bracing assemblies at all gate posts, end posts and corner posts.
(B) Posts and gate frames. All posts shall be tubular and of the nominal diameters specified in division (D) below or in other shapes with equal properties. All post rails and gate frames shall be made of Schedule 40 or greater galvanized steel pipe.
(C) Fence fabric.
(1) Fence fabric shall be a two- inch mesh of nine-gauge, medium carbon steel wire. The fabric shall be woven as one piece to the heights shown, and shall have the salvage edges twisted and barbed.
(2) The fabric finish shall be 2.0 ounce zinc per square foot complying with ASTM A392 Class II, coated after weaving, or 0.40 ounce aluminum per square foot complying with ASTM A491.
(D) Posts, rails and braces.
(1) The top rail shall be one and one-fourth-inch nominal I.D. Schedule 40 at 2.27 pounds per foot.
(2) The line posts shall be two- inch Schedule 40 at 3.65 pounds per foot.
(3) The terminal and straining posts shall be two and one-half-inch nominal I.D. Schedule 40 at 5.79 pounds per foot.
(4) The gate posts shall be sized to meet the following:
(a) Two and one-half- inch nominal I.D. Schedule 40 at 5.79 pounds per foot for gate leaves up to six feet wide; or
(b) Three and one-half- inch nominal I.D. Schedule 40 at 9.11 pounds per foot for gate leaves from seven to 13 feet wide.
(5) The tension wire shall be seven-gage, coiled spring wire with a minimum tensile strength of 80,000 psi, and it shall be galvanized.
(E) Gates. Gates shall be of the same height and fabric as the fence with frames fabricated from one and one-half-inch nominal I.D. Schedule 40 at 2.72 pounds per foot and shall be adequately braced with all corners electrically welded. Gates shall be a swing type, complete with frames, latches, stops, keepers, fabric, braces, pad locks and three strands of barbed wire. Gate leaves shall have intermediate members and diagonal truss rods as required for rigid construction.
(F) Accessories. Fences shall come complete with all necessary hardware such as tension bars, tension bands, brace bands, clamps, gate post caps, nuts and bolts. Gate hardware shall consist of bottom-corner pivot hinge, upper hinge, latch fork with lock keeper and guide, fork catch, stop and hold-open and, for double-leaf units, plunger bar and catch.
(G) Concrete. Concrete for setting posts in the ground shall be as specified in applicable state Building Codes.
