§ 154.129 IDENTIFICATION/LOCATION TAPE.
   (A)   Furnish and install identification/location tape over the centerline of all PVC force main pipe.
   (B)   Location material shall be metallic- type tape such as Terra Tape Detectable, as manufactured by Reef Industries, Inc., or an approved equal. The tape shall be resistant to alkalis, acid and other destructive agents found in soil. Tape width shall be a minimum of three inches and a maximum of six inches, shall have a background color as specified in division (C) below and shall be imprinted with black letters. Imprints shall be as specified in division (C) below and shall repeat a minimum of once every two feet for the entire length of tape.
   (C)   Tape background colors and imprints shall be as follows:
      (1)   Imprint: “Caution—Buried Sanitary Sewer Below”; and
      (2)   Background color: Green.
   (D)   Identification tape shall be installed over the centerline of all buried mains in accordance with the manufacturer’s installation instructions. The depth of bury shall be as recommended by the manufacturer.
   (E)   In all pipe installation, the identification/location tape shall be looped into the manholes for connection to a locating device. The tape shall be spliced together to provide a continuous strip from manhole to manhole.
