§ 154.015 PURPOSE OF CONSTRUCTION STANDARDS.
   (A)   The Construction Standards have been developed for the town in order to establish a quality of work and town-wide consistency in the infrastructure for water, sanitary sewers, storm sewers and road construction. These standards of construction shall be required of all new private development and also of improvements or modifications to existing private infrastructure within the town’s corporate limits and the service boundaries to which service of the respective utility is expected. These standards shall be enforced by the town in accordance with its ordinances and legal authority.
   (B)   The term TOWN as used throughout this chapter shall be defined as the Town of Greentown, Indiana, a municipality whose authority lies in the Town Council, Utility Superintendents and Planning Commission. The CONTRACTOR, as used throughout this chapter, shall mean any property owner, developer, contractor or other entity involved with the development or subdivision of land and improvements or with modifications to existing private infrastructure. The materials and methods described throughout this chapter shall be considered the minimum quality expected. It shall be within the sole discretion of the town to modify or waive the requirements of this chapter.
