§ 33.05 FINANCING THE PROMOTION OF ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AND TOURISM.
   (A)   It is in the best interests of the citizens of the town to authorize and appropriate funds for the purpose of promoting economic development, tourism and the general positive reputation of the town.
   (B)   The Town Council shall be authorized to budget and appropriate funds from the town’s General Fund to pay the expenses of, or to reimburse, town officials for expenses incurred in promoting the best interests of the town.
   (C)   The Town Council shall be authorized to budget and appropriate funds from the town’s General Fund to contribute to charitable or community organizations which promote or benefit the residents and economic development of the town.
   (D)   The contributions or expenses mentioned in divisions (A) through (C) above shall include, but not be limited to, rental of meeting spaces, meals, decorations, memorabilia, awards, expenses incurred in promoting industrial, commercial and residential development, expenses incurred in developing relationships with other units of government and any other expenses of a civic or governmental nature deemed by the Town Council to be in the interests of the town.
