§ 110.01 DEFINITIONS.
   For the purposes of this chapter, the following definitions apply unless the context clearly requires a different meaning.
   BUSINESS. The business carried on by any person who is a peddler or solicitor.
   GOODS. Merchandise of any description whatsoever including, but not restricted to, wares and foodstuffs.
   ITINERANT MERCHANT. Any person, whether as owner, agent or consignee, who engages in the temporary business of selling goods and who, in the furtherance of such business, uses any building, structure, vehicle or any place within the town.
   PEDDLER. Any person who travels from house to house by any means while carrying goods for sale, making sales or making deliveries or any person who sells or offers goods for sale from any public place within the town without traveling from house to house, provided that the term PEDDLER shall not include an itinerant merchant.
   SOLICITOR.
      (1)   Any person who travels by any means from house to house while taking or attempting to take orders for the sale of goods to be delivered in the future or for services or repairs to be performed either presently or in the future.
      (2)   Any person who takes or attempts to take orders by use of telephone for the sale of goods to be delivered or for services or repairs to be performed.
