(A) The owner or lessee of a golf cart must obtain an inspection of the golf cart by the Town Marshal or his or her designee one time prior to the vehicle’s operation within the town. The purpose of the inspection shall be to determine whether the golf cart is safe and in compliance with the terms and provisions of this subchapter and with any other applicable laws of the state. Said inspection shall include a review of the financial responsibility associated with the golf cart. The Police Department shall keep a record of the inspection.
(B) Registration tags shall be placed upon the rear-most point of the vehicle and should be displayed in a location which is clearly visible.
