For the purposes of this subchapter, the following definitions apply unless the context clearly requires a different meaning.
GOLF CART. A vehicle with four wheels which was originally designed for operation on a golf course and is powered by a battery or internal combustion motor.
DRIVER’S LICENSE. A valid license issued by the state or by any other state of the union which lawfully provides for the operation of a motor vehicle.
FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITY. Liability insurance coverage on a golf cart in an amount not less than required by applicable state law for motor vehicles operated on public highways within the state.
OFF-ROAD VEHICLE.
(1) A UTV (utility vehicle), including side- by-side, multi-passenger off-road vehicles but excluding four wheelers and three wheelers; and
(2) OFF-ROAD VEHICLE will be used synonymously with GOLF CART.
