No owner, occupant, or agent of any structure, newly-erected structure, or structure moved to a new location shall refuse or fail, within 30 days of notification by the City Engineer of the correct address of such structure, to place or cause to be placed, the correct address number on the structure. No person shall take down, without authority, or alter, deface, destroy, or conceal any number on any structure or place, or allow an erroneous number to be placed or remain on the structure owned, occupied, or controlled by him or her.
