Each residential unit receiving the benefit of the garbage and trash collection as provided in § 93.10 shall be required to pay the sum of $12 per month for the household materials collection services being provided by the city. This service includes weekly collection of one 96-gallon trash container provided by the city. In the instance where a residential unit has purchased additional 96-gallon trash containers, the fee will be $5 additional per container per month. The household materials collection fee will be increased by 3% annually beginning on January 1, 2022 and each year thereafter. This fee will not include the collection of recyclable materials as that service is provided by the Decatur County Solid Waste Management District.
