§ 92.21 RESTORATION.
   Any person, firm, or corporation making any excavation or tunnel in or under any public street, alley, or sidewalk, or other public place in the city, shall restore the surface to its original condition in compliance with the ordinances of the city and under the supervision of the City Engineer. Traffic must be properly maintained at all times while the work is in progress, and the contractor shall provide approved signs, barricade, flares, flashing lights, and signalperson to properly direct traffic and safeguard the public. All driveways that are disturbed during the construction work shall be replaced. Drainage on the right-of-way shall not be obstructed. The permittee shall remove from the street all dirt, rock, debris, or other material taken from the excavation, unless a longer period is allowed by the City Engineer.
