§ 91.167 FAULTY ALARMS.
   (A)   False alarms. A false alarm is the willful and knowing initiation or transmission of a signal, message, or other notification of an event of fire when no such danger exists.
   (B)   Excessive false alarms. It shall be unlawful for any person or entity who owns or controls property in the city on which an alarm system is installed to issue, cause to be issued, or permit the issuance of more than three false alarms in a calendar year. The person or entity who owns or controls property on which an alarm system is installed shall receive a warning from the city for each false alarm. There shall be no distinction between fire and security false alarms.
