The provisions of this chapter are supplemental to the State General Administrative Rules (GAR), State Fire Code, State Building Code, State Mechanical Code, and State Fuel Gas Code as adopted by the State Fire Prevention and Building Safety Commission. The provisions of this chapter shall apply to the maintenance of fire and life safety features as herein described. The provisions of this chapter shall apply to existing conditions as well as to the conditions arising after the adoption thereof.
