For the purpose of this subchapter, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
ADA. The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), as may be amended, replaced, or replaced from time to time.
DEPARTMENT HEAD. The head of any department of the city.
FULL-TIME EMPLOYEE. An employee who works an average of 1,820 hours per year (35 hours per week), on a regularly scheduled basis.
INPRS. The Indiana Public Retirement System.
PART-TIME EMPLOYEE. An employee who works less than 1,820 hours per year, or averages less than full-time as described above, but on a regularly scheduled basis.
TEMPORARY EMPLOYEE. An employee who works in a position that is of a non-permanent nature (full-time, part-time), with a specified duration of time, not to exceed ten months.
