On notification by the Building Inspector of the proper number of a building, the owner of the building shall cause that number to be placed and continuously maintained in a conspicuous place on the front of the building. If a building stands back more than 50 feet from a street (property) line, the number shall be conspicuously displayed at or near the walk, driveway, or common entrance to the building at the street (property) line, and so placed as to be easily legible from the sidewalk or street. Numerals shall be at least three inches in height.
