Any license issued hereunder shall be for the remainder of the calendar year for which it is issued, and, unless sooner revoked as hereinafter provided, shall expire at midnight of December 31; provided, however, that any such license may be renewed from year to year upon the same terms and conditions as are required for the original issuance of the same.
