A Housing Advisory Committee is hereby established to ensure that gaps in housing assistance are properly identified. The HAC process shall allow for input by all relevant agencies and organization to create a balanced assessment of needs and an effective distribution of resources in the housing assistance program. The HAC is not expected to arrive at a consensus on every point, or even to be the final determinant of priorities. Instead, it is to be used as a guide and point of reference in order to arrive at a reasonable course of action in light of the needs and available resources in the community. Any major objection that is raised to the recommended activities should be answered with a reasoned written response, and evidenced in the HAC minutes. (Ord. 04-08. Passed 2-5-08.)
