(a) Upon request, a maximum number of ten (10) cases of bottled water will be donated to a registered non-profit organization if its event is scheduled to take place entirely in Highland County. If additional cases are needed, they can be purchased as provided in subsection (c) below.
(b) The Village may donate bottled water to anyone during times of crisis and/or emergency. The total amount of bottled water donated during times of crisis and/or emergencies, and to whom it will be donated, shall be determined on a case-by-case basis and approved by the City Manager or his/her designee.
(c) The Village may sell bottled water by the case (24 bottles) to registered non-profit organizations at the price of $4.80 per case. Each registered non-profit organization may purchase only forty (40) cases of bottled water per calendar month. This limit is in addition to the ten (10) cases of donated bottled water set forth in subsection (a) above.
(d) The Village may sell individual bottles of water to the general public at all Village- owned and/or sponsored facilities, buildings, and events at the rate of $0.34 per bottle or $6.48 per case.
(e) The Village will provide free delivery within the Village corporate limits when a registered non-profit organization purchases 20 or more cases of bottled water. If a registered non-profit organization purchases fewer than 20 cases of bottled water and/or requests delivery outside the Village corporate limits, a delivery charge will be added to the purchase price.
(f) Order request must be made fourteen (14) days prior to event.
(g) The annual budget for promotional bottled water production shall not exceed $70,000.00 for the first year and then $35,000.00 each year thereafter.
(h) The Director of Public Services will review quarterly the bottled water pricing established in this Policy and timely recommend changes, if necessary, to Village Council.
(i) Bottled water sales not covered by this Policy may be made pursuant to sales contract approved by the Director of Public Services and the City Manager.
(j) Bottled water can be picked up at the Greenfield Water Department Monday through Friday between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
(k) All proceeds from the sale of bottled water shall go to the Village of Greenfield Water Department for general use, including operations.
