(a) The purchase of family cemetery lots shall be arranged through the City Manager or his/her designee, who will show the cemetery lots which are for sale.
(b) When a section of the cemetery has been platted and prepared for sale, the price of cemetery lots shall be fixed by Council and shall be on file in the office of the Finance Director. No cemetery lots shall be sold unless such cemetery lots are properly endowed for perpetual care.
(c) The deed to a family cemetery lot conveys only burial rights, and the title to the land remains in the City.
(d) As the deed to a cemetery lot conveys only the right of burial therein, the City retains title and control over the land such that City Manager or his/her designee may enter upon any family cemetery lot and prohibit, modify or remove any structure, object, adornment or improvement on such cemetery lot which may have been placed thereon in violation of cemetery rules and which may be considered, in the City Manager or his/her designee's judgment, to be objectionable or injurious to the cemetery lot or adjoining cemetery lots, or to the general appearance of the cemetery.
(e) All cemetery lots in Greenfield Municipal Cemetery shall be classified "A" or "B" according to their value, as determined by Council, and shall be designated so on the cemetery maps on file in the office of the Finance Director, and shall be priced at the rates indicated in the schedule of cemetery lot prices on file in the office of the Finance Director. The deed to family cemetery lot conveys only burial rights and perpetual care.
(f) All unsold cemetery lots lying between "Soldier's Row" and Washington Street shall henceforth be hereby reserved and used solely and specifically for the designated purpose of the interment of Veterans of the United States Armed Forces, and all future sales of such cemetery lots shall be sold with the condition that the cemetery lots' use shall be solely for interment of veterans.
