921.04 MULTI-UNIT SERVICE INSTALLATION.
   (a)   Consumers established multiple-unit dwelling or business units shall deposit the sum of one hundred thirty dollars ($130.00) for each meter to be installed prior to installation, and in addition thereto, the sum of fifty dollars ($50.00) for each additional unit to be served through a central meter. Service connection from the City main to consumers’ premises will be made by the Safety-Service Director. The Safety-Service Director or the Superintendent of Water Distribution, when authorized by the Director, shall determine the appropriate size for supply pipe service. (Ord. 1137. Passed 4-5-71.)
   (b)   All domestic services shall be set in sub-ground level tiles and any other method or location used to abet the convenience of the consumer will automatically fix maintenance responsibility for the line from the main to the meter upon that consumer.
   (c)   Commercial, industrial, and other business services will be installed in sub-ground level compartments which shall be constructed by the consumer. If such installation is impractical, deviation shall be allowed at the discretion of the Safety-Service Director or Superintendent of Water Distribution when authorized by the Director.
