(a) Sidewalks shall have a minimum thickness of four inches and shall be poured in one course of concrete having compressive strength of 3,500 pounds and having minimum of six sacks of cement per cubic yard mixed with clean sand and gravel. All edges shall be thoroughly spaded to avoid honeycomb and the surface shall be worked carefully to bring mortar to the top and brought to a smooth surface with a wooden float. The walk shall be cut into blocks not more than five feet in length and shall be not less than five feet in width.
(b) All edges shall be rounded by using a grooving tool.
(c) Three-eights inch premolded expansion joints shall be inserted at intervals of not less than sixty feet. (Ord. 696. Passed 7-19-57.)
