905.04 DIMENSIONS OF CURBINGS AND GUTTERS.
   (a)   Curbings and gutters shall have fifteen inch aprons with a minimum thickness of five inches. They shall be poured monolithic in one layer of concrete having compressive strength of 3,500 pounds and having a minimum of six sacks of cement per cubic yard mixed with clean, sharp sand or gravel. All edges shall be thoroughly spaded to avoid honeycomb. The surface shall be worked carefully to bring mortar to the top and finished to a smooth surface with a trowel. The gutter shall be cut into blocks not more than six feet in length and all edges shall be rounded by using a grooving tool.
   (b)   Bituminous premolded expansion joint one-half inch thick and conforming to section of gutter shall be provided and installed at minimum intervals of 100 feet.
