In general, private streets and roads shall be given a unique name to avoid duplication and confusion, particularly within the same geographic area of the county. Names which refer to landmarks, places, and natural features are preferable. If a proposed name is similar to another approved, official name, addition of first names or initials or a combination of names should be considered if a separate, distinct name is not available.
