(A) The County Board of Commissioners hereby elect to receive deposits from the Department of Correction in accordance with state statute.
(B) The County Board of Commissioners hereby elect to receive the deposits at level 3 funding.
(C) There is hereby created a County Corrections Fund to be administered by the County Council. The fund shall consist of deposits received from the Department of Corrections in accordance with state statute.
(D) The County Corrections fund may be used only for funding the operation of the county jail, jail programs or other local correctional facilities. Any money remaining in a county corrections fund at the end of the year does not revert to any other fund, but remains in the County Corrections Fund.
(E) This section shall be in full force and effect upon passage.
