§ 92.03  NOTICE OF VIOLATION; ABATEMENT; APPEALS.
   Upon the existence of such a prohibited public nuisance coming to the attention of the Code Enforcement Officer of the township, he or she shall cause to be served upon the person who created and/or maintained such public nuisance, written notice of said violation and notice to repair or remove or otherwise abate said public nuisance.
   (A)   The person who created or maintained such public nuisance, or his or her agent, worker, servant or employee, shall commence the repair, removal or other remedy necessary to abate the herein prohibited condition within ten days of receipt of such notice and shall complete the same within 30 days thereof, unless a longer period is granted by the Township Code Enforcement Officer.
   (B)   The notice herein required shall contain the name of the person who created and/or maintained such public nuisance, the identification or location of the offending property, the nature of the unlawful condition hereunder and whether it is the determination of the Code Enforcement Officer that the same be repaired, removed or otherwise abated.
   (C)   Service of the notice herein required upon the person who created and/or maintained such public nuisance may be accomplished by:
      (1)   Handing of same to him or her personally by an adult;
      (2)   Handing of same to an adult member of his or her family with which he or she resides, or an adult employee in charge of his or her office or place of business;
      (3)   Certified mail delivered to addressee only; or
      (4)   By conspicuous posting of same on the offending property if the whereabouts of the person who created and/or maintained such public nuisance is unknown.
   (D)   The notice herein required shall set forth that the person who created and/or maintained such public nuisance shall have the right to appeal the decision of the Township Code Enforcement Officer to the Township Board of Supervisors within ten days of receipt of said notice by filing the appropriate appeal in writing with the Township Administrative Secretary/Treasurer. If an appeal is filed, the Township Board of Supervisors will hold a public hearing after due notice and will render written findings and conclusions.
