For the purpose of this chapter, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
BUSINESS. Any use of any structure for a retail or wholesale commercial establishment, whether for profit or not, and the storage or stocking of any inventories for a retail or wholesale commercial establishment, for the purpose of dealing in the sale of goods, wares, merchandise or services to other persons.
DWELLING. The actual or intended use of any structure for human habitation.
PERSON. Any individual human being, partnership, association, firm or corporation. In this chapter, the singular shall include the plural, the plural shall include the singular, and the masculine shall include the feminine and the neuter.
PUBLIC NUISANCE. Any use or lack of use of real property within the township, or any condition upon any real property within the township, that, other than infrequently or occasionally:
(1) Shall cause or result in annoyance or disturbance to persons beyond the boundaries of such property;
(2) Interferes with the health and/or safety of persons beyond the boundaries of such property;
(3) Shall cause or result in disturbance to, disruption of or interference with the peaceful use of the property of other persons within the township;
(4) Shall constitute a violation of the laws of the commonwealth, the regulations of the State Department of Health or the State Department of Environmental Protection, or ordinances and/or rules and regulations enacted or approved by the Township Board of Supervisors; or
(5) Shall cause or result in the maintenance of any structure which is in a blighted or dilapidated condition and/or which contains dangerous conditions or materials, as defined and determined by the laws of the commonwealth, the regulations of the State Department of Health or the State Department of Environmental Protection, or ordinances and/or rules and regulations enacted or approved by the Township Board of Supervisors.
STRUCTURE. Any construction or any production or piece of work artificially built up or composed of parts joined together in some definite manner and affixed to or located on real property in the township.
TOWNSHIP. The Township of Greene.
