§ 34.20 FIRE DEPARTMENT FUNDS.
   (A)   Whereas the amount of $10,000 has been budgeted in the General Fund toward fire equipment in the 1983 budget and will be transferred to a Fire Equipment Non-Reverting Fund in 1983; and the amount of $10,000 has been budgeted in the General Fund toward fire equipment in the 1984 budget and will be transferred to a Fire Equipment Non-Reverting Fund in 1984; and certain money has been appropriated out of the Thatcher Annexation Fund toward fire equipment in Ordinance 8-1983 and will be transferred to a Fire Equipment Non-Reverting Fund when money is released by Thatcher Glass Corporation, according to their letter dated 11-22-1983, and appears upon the minutes of 11-25-1983, page 37 of the Minute Book; a Fire Equipment Non-Reverting Fund is hereby established for the purpose of either rebuilding or purchasing a fire truck. The money collected in this Non-Reverting Fund shall be used solely for this purpose. When this Non-Reverting Fund becomes dormant, the leftover money shall be transferred to the General Fund according to law.

   (B)   There is hereby created and established a Fire Department Non-Reverting Operating Fund. All funds received as contribution by or on behalf of the Fire Department shall be placed in the Fund. The money received into the Fund shall be cumulative, non-reverting, and appropriated only for the use and maintenance of the Fire Department. In the event the Fund purpose ceases or becomes dormant, any balance shall be transferred to the General Fund according to law.
