Any person who violates this penalty shall be subject to a fine of $50 for the first violation in a calendar year and $100 for the second violation in a calendar year. All fines collected hereunder shall be deposited in the general fund of the city. If a person is cited for a violation of this chapter for a third time in any calendar year, he or she shall be subject to a fine of $200 and the registration for the golf cart the person was operating at the time of the citation and the registration for any golf cart registered by that person shall be revoked and the golf cart(s) may not be reregistered for a period of one year.
