No person shall operate a golf cart within the City of Greendale unless the golf cart is registered with the city. To register a golf cart, the owner shall present proof of financial responsibility to the Greendale Police Department, and pay the registration fee to the city through the Greendale Police Department. The owner must affix the registration sticker issued by the Greendale Police Department upon the back of the golf cart so that it is clearly visible from behind. All registrations expire December 31 of each year. The registration fee between the dates of January 1 to March 31 shall be $25. The registration fee after March 31 every year shall be $60. Newly required golf carts are eligible for a $25 registration fee regardless of the date if presented with proof of purchase.
