§ 31.27 SICK LEAVE ALLOWANCE; ABUSE.
The employer agrees to grant five days sick leave every six months; which shall not exceed a total of 40 days. The employee must notify the employer of the sickness by the normal starting time. The employer will be the sole judge if an employee is qualified for sick-leave benefits. If, in the opinion of the employer, an employee has abused the above rights and privileges, the employee shall be laid off for a period of two weeks without pay or be placed on a waiting period for three days without pay before sick leave benefits become effective.
