§ 11.01 CITY BOUNDARIES.
    The corporation boundary of the City of Greendale is hereby declared, adopted, and defined to be as follows, subject to such additional annexation or disannexation of territory as may hereafter be provided in this chapter or by an amendatory ordinance:
   Beginning in the South line of Section 2, Township 5 North, Range 1 West, at the Southeast corner of the former French lands and at a point supposed to be 1272.5 feet East of the Southwest corner of Section 2, and running West, with the Section line, 892 feet, more or less, to a corner of the existing corporate limits of the City of Greendale; thence with the present boundary lines of the town in the order here set out, viz: South 19°30' West 708.62 feet; South 4°30' East 743.25 feet; South 54°45' West 257.4 feet; South 23°33' West 1764.9 feet; South 7°33' West 3409.25 feet, and South 51°40' West 470.52 feet to the center of the main track of the New York Central Railroad Co. (Newtown Switch), this latter line following in part the North line of former Mill Street, in the City of Lawrenceburg; thence continuing with the existing corporate limits of the City of Greendale, and with the center of the main track of the New York Central Railroad Co., South 24°00' East 213.95 feet; and then South 73°35' West to the center of Tanner's Creek; thence up the creek thereof, to the Westerly right-of-way line of the main line of the New York Central Railroad Co.; thence with the railroad company right-of-way Southerly, Southeasterly and Easterly to a large concrete post standing at the most Northerly corner of the lands belonging to the Thatcher Glass Mfg. Co., Inc., thence with the lands of the Thatcher Glass Mfg. Co., Inc., South 33°57' West 319.0 feet to an iron pipe; thence South 16°20' East, 277.0 feet to an iron pipe standing in the North line of the former Dam lands; thence South 89°58' West 700.4 feet to an iron pipe standing at the Northwest corner of the former Dam lands; thence with the West line of the former Dam lands South 1°50' West 1284.6 feet to an iron pipe standing at the Southwest corner of the former Dam lands, this line passing a stone standing at the Northeast corner of lands owned by Dearborn Homes, Inc. (the former French lands), at 1077.7 feet; thence with the South line of the former Dam lands, South 89°54' East 2038.5 feet to a concrete monument standing at the Southwest corner of the lands now owned by Bonard F. Dam and by Mayme Sterner and Benjamin Steiner, her husband, this line passing a concrete monument, at 1544.2 feet, which stands in the line between Sections 2 and 3 and 2016.5 feet North of the Southwest corner of Section 2; thence with the West line of the Dam and Steiner lands North 0°08' East 216.5 feet to the Southwest corner of a parcel of land containing 0.434 acres conveyed unto Farling Brothers by Bonard F. Dam, Mayme Steiner and Benjamin F. Steiner; thence along and with the South line of the Farling Brothers parcel of land, North 86°32' East 382.5 feet to the center of the public road leading to the premises of the Thatcher Glass Mfg. Co., Inc., and the most Easterly corner of the parcel of land containing 0.766 acres conveyed unto Farling Brothers by Bonard F. Dam (at 358.0 feet on this line passing the Northwest corner, at the top, of the end wall on the West side of a large stone culvert); thence Northwesterly along the center of the highway to the Southerly right-of-way line of the New York Central Railroad Co.; thence with the right-of-way line, Eastwardly, to a point where the Bast line of the parcel of land belonging to Roy K. Culbertson and wife, containing 9.596 acres, would, if extended Northerly, intersect the said railroad right-of-way line; thence South 19°53' East to the Southeast corner of the Culbertson lands; thence with the South line of the Culbertson lands, in part, and in part with the South line of the parcel of land containing 1.025 acres belonging to Dwight H. Rowe and wife, South 81°50' West 318.18 feet to the Southwest corner, of the Rowe lands; thence with the West line of the Rowe lands, North 0°50' West 48.8 feet to the Southeast corner of the lands formerly belonging to Enoch McElfresh; thence with the South line of the former McElfresh lands, South 78°00' West 186.1 feet, more or less, to the East line of the Bellview M.E. Church lands in Homestead; thence with the Church lands South 0°50' East 102.0 feet, more or less, to the Southeast corner of the Church lands; thence with the South line of the Church lands South 78°00' West 79.0 feet, more or less, to the Southwest corner thereof; thence with the extended West line of the Church lands, South 0°50' East 1853.3 feet, more or less, to the point of beginning.
   EXCEPTING THEREFROM the following: Beginning in a South line of the school lands, in the line dividing Sections 2 and 3, at a point 1165.6 feet North of the Southwest corner of Section 2 and running South 82°28' West 153.9 feet to the Southwest corner of the school lands; thence North 7°32' West 299.1 feet, to the Northwest corner of the school lands and to a point in the South line of the Hutchinson lands; thence with the Hutchinson lands East 192.1 feet to the Southeast corner thereof and to the line dividing Sections 2 and 3; thence South 65°21' East 118.3 feet; thence South 89°38' East 200.0 feet to the Northeast, corner of the school lands and to the West line of Wayne Avenue; thence South 21°35' West 108.0 feet; thence South 18°06' West 115.5 feet to the Southeast corner of the school lands; thence North 89°38' West 108.4 feet; thence South 82°28' West 124.9 feet, to the point of beginning. Containing 2.519 acres, more or less.
   The corporation boundary of the City of Greendale shall also include the following additional territory:
Being part of the Northwest Quarter of Section 1, Township 5 North, Range 1 West of the First Principal Meridian located in Lawrenceburg Township, Dearborn County, Indiana, described as follows (bearings in this description are based on the Indiana State Plane Coordinate System, East Zone, NAD ‘83):
   Commencing at the most Easterly corner of Lot 4 (replatted Lot 1) of Greendale Plaza, Phase I (Slide 239), also being in the Northwesterly right-of-way of Flossie Drive; thence N 40°03'23" E along said right-of-way, 54.02 feet to a re-bar; thence N 89°04'48" E along the South line of Dearborn Leasing, LLC (O.R. 178, P. 1185), 553.72 feet to a re-bar at the Point of Beginning; thence severing the parent tract, N 00°57'57" W along the assumed West line of Section 1, Township 5 North, Range 1 West, 1074.80 feet to a re-bar in the Southerly right-of-way of U.S. 50; thence N 40°43'02" E along said right-of-way, 214.51 feet to a re-bar; thence along 3rd Gen. LLC (I. 2012011436) the following two courses and distances:
   S 49°21'43" E, 296.63 feet to a re-bar; thence
   S 18°22'48" W, 1100.17 feet to the Point of Beginning.
   Containing 5.227 acres, more or less, from the lands of Dearborn Leasing, LLC (O.R. 178, P. 1185) to be annexed by the City of Greendale, Indiana.
   Subject to the right-of-way of U.S. 50.
   Subject to any and all easements.
