(A) No person, other than a licensed veterinarian or animal warden acting in an official capacity, shall, with intent to injure or kill any animal, except a wild rodent, knowingly administer poison to any animal that is the property of another, nor shall any person knowingly place any poisoned food where it may be easily found and eaten by any such animal, either upon his or her own premises, the premises of another, or in any public place within the city.
(B) Whoever violates this section is guilty of a misdemeanor of the third degree.
