§ 55.01 UNDERGROUND UTILITIES REQUIRED.
   (A)   All utility facilities to be located or relocated within the city, other than existing aboveground utility facilities, including, without limitation, utility facilities located or relocated as part of a public improvement project, shall be placed underground within dedicated utility easements or streets, alleys, properties and rights-of-way of the city. As used herein, PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT PROJECT is defined as all improvements that will be dedicated to the city for public use, prior to or upon completion, regardless of funding source.
   (B)   As used herein, UTILITY FACILITY means all lines, poles, conduits, pipes, posts, tanks, vaults, wires, equipment and appurtenances, above or below ground, in streets, alleys, utility easements, properties, and rights-of-way of the city, used or useful in supplying electric, communication, television signal services, gas, sanitary, storm, or any other public or private utility.
