For the purpose of this subchapter, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
APPLICABLE BUILDING. Any city-owned construction project constructing or renovating 5,000 gross square feet or more of occupied space, and that has an estimated construction cost exceeding $200,000, that is constructed after the effective date established in this legislation.
BUILDING COMPLIANCE OFFICIAL. The Planning Director or any competent individual in city administration so appointed by the Mayor.
CONSTRUCTION. The building or renovation of any new or existing applicable building.
LEED RATING SYSTEM. The most recent version, including future updates, of the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Standards Green Building Rating System approved by the United States Building Council. The Green Building Compliance Official shall maintain the most recent version of the LEED rating system at all times.
