§ 33.070 MUTUAL AID.
   (A)   The Fire Chief is hereby authorized to provide and/or request fire protection and services related to the preservation and protection of life and property to and/or from any township, village or other municipality, public service agency and/or private firefighting company located in the county, and/or adjoining counties, without a contract when the ability to provide adequate emergency services to the citizens of the affected area is deemed inadequate.
   (B)   The Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into mutual aid agreements with any township, village or other municipality, public service agency and/or private firefighting company located in the county and/or adjoining counties as deemed necessary to provide or render mutual aid, assistance, resources, including personnel and equipment, and knowledge to each other in the event of emergency situations arising wherein the ability to provide adequate emergency services to the citizens of the affected area is deemed inadequate.
