Pursuant to R.C. § 731.231, the city shall adopt the most current edition of the Ohio Building Code (OBC) as adopted by the Ohio Board of Building Standards, Department of Industrial Relations, and as published in O.A.C. Division 4101:2, save and except such portions of such code as may be amended or deleted. Each time the Ohio Board of Building Standards, the Department of Industrial Relations, updates and adopts a new edition of the Ohio Building Code, that edition shall automatically be applicable and enforceable in the city.
