§ 94.05 NONCOMPLIANCE.
   It shall be the duty of the Superintendent of Streets and Alleys to report to the Commissioner of Streets and Public Improvements any non-compliance with this chapter. The Commissioner shall inspect the alleged violation and issue a written opinion stating either concurrence or disagreement with the report. The report shall be signed by the Commissioner and transmitted to the Superintendent. Upon written concurrence by the Commissioner, the Superintendent shall notify the responsible parties by registered mail. If remedial action has not begun within ten days, the Superintendent may take action to correct the violation. A statement of expenses for such work shall be prepared and mailed to the owners of record of the property affected. Should the owners fail to pay such expenses within 60 days of such mailing, action may be brought against the owner for the expenses and the costs of the action, including reasonable attorney fees and costs of collection.
