§ 30.01 MEETINGS.
   (A)   Regular meetings of the City Council for the City of Grayville, White and Edwards Counties, Illinois for the fiscal beginning May 1, 2024 shall be held on the second and fourth Mondays of each month in the City Hall, 119 S. Middle Street, Grayville, White and Edwards Counties, Illinois, commencing at 7:00 p.m.
   (B)   Public notice of such meetings shall be posted in the City Council Chambers and in the office of the City Clerk in the City Hall, 122 South Court Street, Grayville, White County Illinois.
   (C)   From time to time, in accordance with the Illinois Open Meetings Act, the Grayville City Council may enter into executive session. In such cases, no disclosure of the matters discussed in executive session shall be allowed, unless and until they are the subject of announcement, publication, or official action by or at the direction of the Mayor and City Council. A violation of this section by any Commissioner, City Officer, or city employee shall be considered a breach of the violating party’s fiduciary duty to the City of Grayville. In the event of a violation of this section, any Commissioner, Officer or employee of the City of Grayville responsible for the improper disclosure may be subject to discipline, censure, termination, or a report to the White County State’s Attorney for investigation into possible legal action under the Illinois Criminal Code or the Illinois Municipal Code.
   (D)   Any Commissioner, City Officer, or Mayor who without cause fails to regularly attend City Council meetings may be subject to removal from office by a four-fifths majority vote of the sitting Board of Commissioners.
