At the hearing each person and/or entity that filed a petition for appeal shall be given the opportunity to be heard and to show why the Condemnation Notice should be modified or withdrawn. The hearing shall not be commenced later than thirty (30) days after the day on which the petition for appeal was filed; provided, that upon application of any each person and/or entity that filed a petition for appeal, the Board of Zoning Adjustments and Appeals may postpone the date of hearing for a reasonable time beyond the thirty (30) day period, if in its judgment, any each person and/or entity that filed a petition for appeal has submitted a good and sufficient reason for postponement of the hearing.
