§ 40.353   LICENSE STICKER NON-TRANSFERABLE; EXCEPTIONS; CLASSIFICATION STICKERS
   (A)   The license sticker purchased for any motor vehicle shall not be transferable when the vehicle is sold or transferred by the owner, however, if in the event another motor vehicle is purchased in a trade or replacement for a motor vehicle previously taxed, it shall not be subject to a license sticker fee, but the vehicle shall be required to display a classification sticker which must be purchased from the City Clerk at the following costs:
      (1)   For all motorcycles, the fee for classification stickers shall be fifty cents ($0.50);
      (2)   For all passenger cars or automobiles, pick-up trucks and passenger vans, the fee for classification stickers shall be one dollar ($1.00); and
      (3)   For all larger trucks, the fee for classification stickers shall be one dollar and fifty cents ($1.50).
   (B)   The classification sticker must be purchased and displayed within five (5) days from the date of purchase or trade, and proper proof of such trade and transfer must be shown to the City Clerk before a classification sticker will be issued.
