(A) Any member of the Police Department who accepts a salary or expense funds from the city while attending required training at the Police Academy at Eastern Kentucky University or elsewhere shall be required to sign a contract with the city that he or she will work for the city for one (1) year after completing his or her training.
(B) The contract shall further provide that, in the event the officer shall terminate his or her employment and become employed by any other law enforcement agency in any capacity he or she shall pay back to the city all amounts paid to him or her for his or her benefit by the city, including withholding taxes.
