§ 21.804   COMPENSATION
   (A)   For each permit sold by the City Clerk for which the fee is ten dollars ($10.00), the Building Inspector shall receive five dollars ($5.00) and the city shall retain five dollars ($5.00).
   (B)   For each permit sold by the City Clerk for which the fee is based on the amount of work to be performed in construction or enlarging a building or structure, the Building Inspector shall receive all fees collected by the City Clerk, except for the first five dollars ($5.00), for all construction or enlargement of buildings or structures, the fair market valuation of which is five thousand dollars ($5,000.00) or less. Upon the fair market valuation of construction or enlargement exceeding five thousand dollars ($5,000.00), the Building Inspector shall receive one-half (1/2) of the building permit fees in excess of the amount of fee realized upon the first five thousand dollars ($5,000.00) of the fair market valuation.
   (C)   Sums retained by the city shall be deposited in the General Fund of the city.
   (D)   The City Clerk or other appropriate disbursement agent shall, at the end of each month, calculate the amount of each building permit fee received during the month, as to the portion of it to be retained by the city, and the portion of it which is to be paid to the Building Inspector in accordance with subsections (A) and (B), and shall pay to the Building Inspector the sum earned by him by the tenth (10th) day of the next following month.
